    Car model / Year / chip: Fiat Punto – 2009 with ID46 chip

    Purpose: Program a key with Autel MaxiIM IM608

    Problem:

    I can read the eeprom data and save it.
    When i connect the programmer and try to make a dealer key i get the message: The key generation failed, please check if the chip type is correct.

    What I tried:

    [Fiat –> Manual selection –> Europe –> Tipo –> 2018-2020 Blade key –> Control unit –> Read Immobilizer Password(CAN)]

    Then:

    [Fiat –> Manual selection –> Europe –> Tipo –> 2018-2020 Blade key –> Control unit –> Immobilizer(7010563_Megamos AES)]

     

    Autel engineer replied:

    The key may be locked, please use a blank 46 key to make dealer key.
