Autel IM608 Failed to Read BMW EDC17C50 ISN Solution

Problem:

Autel IM508 failed to read ISN from BMW F20 EDC17C50 on bench.  Use 13,5V and 3A but ecu takes only 0,55A. Error “Initial communication failed”

Solution:

If failed to read EDC17C50 ISN, try

1).

I read exactly that ECU yesterday. 14.5v and 2a with im608 and gbox2. Power 608 vci or use a break out.

2).
Take the power supply for ecu from the banana pins on Gbox2 and it works

You must connect power for ecu from the banana plugs of gbox.
