Problem:
Today i try a bmw i3 09-2020 for all new key.
I use a keydiy KD-X4 and try with autel im608.
Everting look good and works til i must hold new key aginst steering column. Then he say that key doesn’t detected. Key is 433mhz.
Any idea?
Solution:
It is just BDC model and BDC key. Not BDC2 or BDC3 key.
It should have been unlocked via OBD. If the new key is acting like your describing either wrong frequency or a defective key.
It sounds like the Frequency is wrong.
Try universal ones from KD (FGB23) or Autel BMW ikey and adjust frequency if needed.
