User review: Successfully programmed a primary key for a VW Golf (MQB2 platform) using Xhorse + Autel tools. It’s an automatic model. Read all the modules since security data (CS) is stored across the ECU, Instrument Cluster, ELV, and TCU. Read MQB cluster (Processor D70F3537) data with Xhorse multi prog and get CS code. Read Simos 18.1 ECU with xhorse multi prog in boot mode and get CS. It was an automatic transmission DSG 0D9 (DQ250). Read gearbox data and get CS code. Read ELV module and get CS with Autel IM508 XP400 pro. You can also use OBDSTAR adapter without removing steering lock from car. Then enter all the CS values into the calculator to generate the synchronization file. Many devices has built-in sync data generation calculators now, Launch X431, Autel, OBDSTAR, Xhorse etc. Use these devices to pre-load the data (here he used Xhorse vvdi2) and then successfully program the key to get the engine running.
